To facilitate the digital transformation of MSMEs while promoting the growth of local startups, the Strategic MSME and Startups (SMART) Link program will connect MSMEs with startups or digital enterprises that can provide digital solutions for their operations, such as in e-payments, chatbot for customer management, human resource and payroll management, among other digital services. MSMEs and startups will be matched through various mechanisms, including online meetings, direct referral, or endorsements. To be implemented in the various regions, industry associations and business chambers will be engaged to aggregate MSME needs on one hand, while startup enablers will be tapped to select potential startup solutions providers on the other. SMART Link builds upon the efforts of DTI to connect MSMEs and startups, particularly during the covid-19 pandemic.
